How do you stay healthy? It is a rough world these days. Is it getting you down?

For me, staying healthy has become less about perfection and more about staying connected to myself. I try to move my body a few times a week. Sometimes that’s lifting. Sometimes it’s just a walk to clear my head. I eat decent most days, try to get enough sleep, and stay off the phone when I know I’m spiraling.

But honestly, the biggest shift came when I stopped pretending everything was fine. Talking with other men who get it, who’ve been through it, that’s been a lifeline. Places like this—spaces where we don’t have to wear the armor all the time—are part of how I stay steady.

What about you? What helps you hold the line when the weight starts creeping in?

That all makes sense. Friend-time makes a difference. Walking trails. Blowing off steam. But the world is going crazy and these things are starting to feel … not enough.

Sometimes the world really is too loud, too fast, too cruel. And the simple rituals that once gave us peace start to feel like small shields in a much larger storm. That does not make them useless. It just means we might need more. More connection. More depth. More truth.

What you said, “not enough,” that is a call. Not for distraction, but for meaning.

Maybe what we need is not to fight the chaos, but to sit in it with someone who understands. To not fix everything, but to say out loud, “This is hard,” and have another man nod and say, “Yeah. Me too.”

You are here now. So are we. And maybe that is a start.
